Places to visit in Amboli:-
1.Hiranyakeshi River Origin:-
We came to Hiranyakeshi Cave, which is basically a Shiva Temple. It is said that the source of the Hiranyakeshi river lies in the hills around Amboli village, and an ancient Shiva temple (called Hiranyakeshwar) sits at the cave where the water emerges. There are breathtaking views on both sides of the ascent and descent to this cave. This is where we noticed round plants like balls scattered in the bushes. There is a bridge over a small river that you can cross over. we reached this old temple by walking through a valley of greenery which was nothing but a cave.
There is a pond in front of the temple which is connected to the local water stream. This has an unusual shape. There was also an "havan kund''which added to the beauty of the temple's simplicity. The road leading to the temple was well built, so that people could walk on it comfortably. Here too many streams of water flow from one side to the other.
2.Kavlesad Point
Taking drive up to the Kavlesad point we saw the breathtaking view of the endless valleys.A reverse waterfall here which is an optical illusion, created when wild winds flow in the valley, and it looks like that the water is flowing reversely.
Kavlesad Point is the center of attraction for everyone in Amboli. When you go to Kavalasheta point, you will see a very deep valley. So those who are afraid of high places should avoid going here.
3.Sunset Point –
Sunset Point is located in Amboli Ghat, 1 km from the main bus stand. The eye-catching sunset can be seen here.
