Well,we all know that Mango is the king of fruits. As soon as his name is mentioned, water comes out of the mouth no matter children and adult. The reason is the same. The taste of mango is sweet and delicious. Mango has a unique taste of other fruits and its qualities are more characteristic than other fruits so it is called the king of fruits which is why it has been given the status of national fruit.

As we belong from kokan we are very curious about mangoes ,there origin and varieties.Each variety differs in taste ,shape , quality from each other.

Mango is called Amr in Sanskrit. The arrival of mango is understood when the mango tree blooms. That is called ambe mohor in marathi. The Raw mango ''kairi''  taste sour ,used in various dishes .we all know about kairi panhe - a peppy drink  of raw mangoes sweetened with sugar, usually made in summer , for refreshment


There are many varieties of mango. It is characterized by its strength in the form of taste and color in each province. In South India, North India, West India, in every soil nature has given him the gift of taste and shape. Mangoes change the color of this charming yellow.

There are more than 1300 varieties like Totapuri, Neelam, Dashahari, Payari, Raiwal, Langada, Romania, Hapus, Balsald Mango. The most popular variety of mango is Hapus. The taste of Hapuras Mango from Konkan is also amazing. Hapus mango is a product of Konkan soil. Hapus Mango from Konkan is an alchemy of nature.



Its taste has driven the whole world crazy. It does not taste like any other mango fruit. Even though this fruit is cultivated in places other than Konkan, it does not have a similar taste, so it is known as the king of Konkan. It is said that mangoes are eaten by Akshay Tritiya.
Hapus Mango from Konkan has crossed seven seas today. Hapus mangoes are in great demand in the Gulf and in the West. And these mangoes also help the country's foreign exchange to grow. Mango has provided employment to many. Because the cultivation of this fruit is a means of livelihood in rural areas.

The food-processing industry is largely due to mango. Mango is used to make Amaras, Jam, Mango Milk Shake, Ice Cream, Mango Poli, Mango Barfi, Wadi. All these industries are set up where mangoes are produced and provide employment to many. Amaras Puri is a very popular type of food.

Mango has many properties. It has the property of increasing immunity. Mango is also a tonic. Mango contains vitamins A and C. Also mango is useful for skin and eye disorders. The leaves of the mango tree are also medicinal

Alphonso mango:-

On some festivals, mango leaves are wrapped in marigold flowers and placed on the main door of the house. Mango leaves are used for good deeds. Mango tree wood is also used for furniture. This mango and its deciduous tree provide shade to many and support many birds as nests.

How to identify hapus mango ? 

Mangoes from Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Thane and Palghar districts of Konkan can be named as Hapus Mango. This has been achieved by the Department of Patents, Government of India.

Hapus mango price ?

The price of real hapus mango is always high. The price of Karnataka hapus mango is always cheap but the taste is very bad.

Characteristic of Hapus Mango

Hapus Mango has a special shape, it has no beak or tip, Hapus is never elongated, it is slightly round elongated. Mango peel is the skin that is plain, it is not rough anywhere, there are small holes of white flowers on the peel, it is thin skin, it has nominal fiber.
