KONDESHWAR -An ancient religious place


 Few months ago,
I travelled to Kondeshwar with my friends.Those friends,who became closed to me in past one year,During pandemic times, we use to play games together and now we became good friends.
Well,I usually prefer travelling with my family.But this time, as we all know each other's really well ,we all decided to have small one day trip.One of my friend, Suggested that Kondeshwar near Badlapur in a wonderful location and we all agreed to him as he is the one who going to take us there.
Kondeshwar Temple is an ancient temple near Badlapur, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The part surrounded by many smaller shrines from all sides. This temple was built using black stones in the  Hemandpanti style represents oldest form of architecture.
Kondeshwar temple in Badlapur is very famous. Located at a distance of 5-6 kms from Badlapur railway station, Kondeshwar temple is an ancient temple situated in the middle of dense forest having peaceful atmosphere around

Places to visit in Kondeshwar:-
The small temples of Kondeshwar are submerged during monsoon and inaccessible as seen below. During very heavy rain the temple is fully submerged and the area is closed.


There are many waterfalls around bhoj village in Kondeshwar . Many rivers come down to the temple through the top of the hills. Along its way many people have fun and get wet as shown in below picture.

Kondeshwar is also a fantastic place for hiking .On Weekends, especially in rainy season people rush here for hiking and ofcourse,to enjoy it's serene beauty and surreal views.

Best time to visit:-
The serenity of the temple is only broken by the sounds of cascading water from a nearby waterfall. Spend time cooling down in the misty water sprays from the falls and it is one of the feel in mansoon.
The kondeshwar waterfall attracts the tourist    as it has midst of dense forest and mesmerizing weather surrounded by lush greenery.

Accessibility and nearby facilities:-
Distance between Badlapur Railway Station and Kondeshwar Temple is 7 kms
It takes 8 minutes to travel from Badlapur Railway Station to Kondeshwar Temple. Approximate driving distance between Badlapur Railway Station and Kondeshwar Temple is 7 kms
Kondeshwar is accessible via road. Nearest station is Badlapur East. One can hire a auto till Kondeshwar temple at a price of 50Rs per person.
There is only one way to get to the temple, also  there is no chance to get there by bus or Tempo Traveler as you might think, there is a small shop around the temple where you can get snacks like vada pav biscuit chips etc. Also parking area is available near the temple premises.

Final Thought:-
Depending on your budget and the time available, you can happily drive off to many fascinating places for your one-day trip near kondeshwar. Just check the weather conditions before you start your journey.
So overall it was a wonderful experience that i will not forgot for the rest of my life , and this trip has inspired me alot to travel around and explore new places which I surely will.
